How will my child access the creative workshops?
Each day, you will receive an email with a clickable link to take you to that day's content.
You will receive a timetable and a list of resources when you sign up, so you will be able to prepare in advance for the sessions your child wishes to take.
What if my child has a question about what they are learning?
The workshops are being led by experienced craft leaders and have been filmed with children in mind. They are pre-recorded (not live), but any foreseeable questions will be dealt with during filming.
Those of you who sign up to VIP Access also get access to a private Facebook group set up for the event (a link to join will be sent to you when you sign up). You are more than welcome to post any questions there and I will endeavour to get back to you as soon as I can.
What if my child doesn't finish the project and needs to access it the following day?
Each day, a new set of workshops will be released. If you watch them on that day, they are free to access. However, there is SO much amazing content and only so many hours in the day!
If you would like to access any of the workshops for longer, then please upgrade to VIP Access. This will give you exclusive access to all the video content until the end of January - and is an absolute bargain too!
How much is VIP Access?
To access all of the creative workshops until the end of January 2022, VIP Access is £35.
If these were run in-person, then that would be the equivalent of only one workshop.
Do I need to supervise my child doing the workshops?
Hmmm... the million-dollar question! You know your child best.
The workshops have been created with relative independence in mind, however, every child is different. If your child is using a sewing machine or a Cricut machine for example, then an adult should always be in the room for safety.
In each workshop area, there will be some safety pointers to think about and a recommendation that the child discusses these with the adult at home before starting.
What is the youngest age recommended for these workshops?
Many of the workshops involve equipment that can cause harm (sewing machines, Cricut machines, scissors, needles etc...), therefore I would recommend that children from the age of ten up into the teens (and beyond) are best suited.
That being said, if you are able to sit with your younger child and make along with them, then do join us.
What if my child's friend wants to do it with them?
Creating together is always fun! By all means, join forces and enjoy the event.
However, I would politely ask that if you are upgrading to VIP Access, that each family has their own account. We have all worked hard on creating the content for you.
May I use your content for a holiday club that I run?
This event is intended for older children to access from home and not in a paid setting. Therefore, the content is for personal use only and not commercial.
Do I have to have a child to join in?
Nope! I'm going to join in with many of the workshops that I don't personally teach! I love crafting and the projects are certainly not just for children!
What benefit is there to being a VIP member?
You will be able to access all the video content until the end of January 2022.
There will be a private Facebook group for VIP members. Tips, reminders and the ability to ask further questions will be there for you. We'd also love to see photographs of their makes so that we can celebrate your child's success with them.
There is also a bonus craft workshop inside the VIP paid membership area.
